The most robust way to measure ammonia concentration is to use a colorimetric measurement. Depending of the sample matrix various preparations can be automated. Normally samples are filtered and diluted in prior of measurement.
The ammonia analyser is designed to operate with very minimal manual work and running cost. The analyser requires only 5 minutes visual inspection weekly (or alternatively biweekly). Required preventative maintenance takes approximately 2 hours every three monthly.
