Current booster opens doors to novel battery and fuel cell applications

Metrohm Autolab PGSTAT204 potentiostat/galvanostat combined with a 10 Amp Current Booster.

The compact PGSTAT204 potentiostat/galvanostat has a compliance voltage of ± 20 V and current ranges of 10 nA – 400 mA. Together with a Booster10A, the maximum current output can be increased to ± 10 A, making this combination capable of electrochemical applications ranging from microelectrodes or sensors to high-power fuel cells and batteries.

The PGSTAT204 instrument can also accommodate an additional internal module to extend its capabilities even further:

Optional modules

  • FRA32M – Module for electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS)
  • BA – Module for bipotentiostat measurements in combination with Rotating Ring Disk Electrode (RRDE) equipment
  • pX1000 – pH and temperature measurements module
  • MUX – Multiplexer module for high-throughput electrochemical measurements
  • EQCM – Electrochemical quartz crystal microbalance module
  • IME663 – Interface with the Metrohm 663 VA Stand for electroanalytical measurements and trace analysis

Accessories

  • Metrohm Autolab RDE and RRDE – For hydrodynamic measurements
  • Metrohm Autolab LED Driver – For measurements on photovoltaic devices
  • Electronic Load Interface – For connection to a programmable load or power supply
