Usually, typical solutions hold significant quantities of acid/base and dissolved salts which makes pH measurements easy, speedy and reliable.

Low ionic strength waters on the other hand, lack or have very little of these components. A specially designed electrode like Metrohm’s Aquatrode is needed to ensure fast and reliable clear results.

The Metrohm “Aquatrode” is the perfect electrode for such a task. It can be supplied with or without in built temperature probe, and is available as Metrohm digital “iTrode” or “dTrode” format for complete FDA 21 CFR Part 11 compliance.
