Continuous monitoring of SO2 in ambient air

The Metrohm 920 absorber module in combination with the 930 Compact IC Flex allows us to determine gaseous sulphite in air continuously. Air is sampled through a vacuum pump into the absorption vessel of the 920 Absorber Module where gaseous sulphite is oxidized to sulphate by the means of a hydrogen peroxide solution. An aliquot of this absorbing solution is transferred into the IC system for analysis.
